Within CO+I, the Data Center Operational Readiness Team are responsible to support new sites and countries as they transition into our live operation and then provide support through constant operational evaluation for the lifecycle of the operation. Focus on customer experience through uptime, reliability, and availability of Microsoft’s cloud. Microsoft has a portfolio of data centres globally and the Operational Readiness Team is looking to fill the vital PM role across our Site Transition and Continuous programs.
Responsibilities

Deliver a best-in-class, new site transition and onboarding program with a focus on Day 1 operational capabilities.
Provide global consistency across processes, procedures, and incident management for all facility types.
Develop methodologies and metrics to validate data center performance, system control parameters and operational efficiency against design intent.
Support Microsoft’s Data Centre onboarding to meet day 1 site condition and readiness.
Support Defect liability period.
Manage programs associated with operational readiness.
Evolve operational excellence with key focus areas of risk management, uptime availability and safety.
Focus on improved environmental performance, compliance, and risk management (https://www.theauditoronline.com/auditing-goals-and-objectives/) .
Establish operational representation through design, build, and commissioning project phases.
Build strong working relationships and engagement with our Engineering Groups (EGs), key partners and Landlord partners.
Work with regional and global peers to identify, create and share best practices across the entire data center portfolio.

Obtain a clear understanding of Microsoft’s day-to-day operation, management and maintenance expectations for all critical plant, equipment, controls, and processes including (but not limited to), operating procedures, standards, change management and Drills.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Must have a minimum of bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or other Equivalent Experience
Minimum 5-10 years of relevant work experience
Experience in data center, pharma, or large-scale manufacturing operations environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Significant experience working in critical environments.
Proficiency in Data Center or Critical Environment’s Mechanical, Electrical and Control systems.
Communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change.
Experience leading and managing a business-critical function.
Understanding of datacenter and uptime methodologies or equivalent Mission Critical facilities.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Team player with the ability to influence cross functional teams and leaders to implement continuous improvement.
Good communications skills both written and verbal to work and partner with people at all levels of management.
Must demonstrate strong attention to detail.
Ability to operate within ambiguous environment and create clarity.
