Full-Time Events Support Assistant
Schedule required is Tuesday-Saturday
The Events Support Assistant supports various hospitality functions for scheduled winery events in the Sonoma and Napa region and undertakes diverse functions to support Trade Hospitality operations.
Compensation
Hiring Salary Range Posted: $22.36 / hr - $30.24 / hr
In addition to the salary, this position is eligible to participate in tasting room tip pools, bonuses and incentive plans, as applicable.
Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
What You Will Do
Sets-up and tears-down wine tastings and special events.
Procures and delivers wine and supplies for tastings and special events.
Participates in receiving and sorting wine.
Stocks wine and operating supplies.
Maintains wine inventories
Maintains equipment supply inventories; orders supplies as needed.
Uses various tools to perform maintenance and repairs on equipment.
Reviews menu, wine and guest count with caterer before meals.
Oversees regular maintenance of hospitality vehicles.
Partners with the property manager to coordinates and oversee facilities maintenance.
Maintains property standards in regards to cleanliness, organization and general aesthetics.

What You Need
Associates Degree; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 1 year of event support, catering, restaurant or related hospitality experience.
Required to be 21 years of age or older.
Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
Required to frequently lift and move product and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
Required to work weekends, holidays and have a flexible schedule including occasional evenings.
Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
Required to travel to event venues via automobile.
Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
What Will Set You Apart
Associates Degree plus 6 months of event support experience; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of event support, catering, restaurant or related hospitality experience.
Experience in restaurant/service industry.
Skilled in the use of a forklift, pallet jack and other mechanical lifting apparatuses.
