  Job Summary:

  In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

  We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer/Systems Integrator Engineer to join our SI&T team in Huntsville, Alabama. Responsibilities will include troubleshooting hardware/software issues, performing integration/regression testing, installing software update packages, working with Production and Development Test Engineers to ensure proper operation of the equipment/test systems, and creating/updating documentation and test requirements.

  This position is onsite in Huntsville, Alabama. Occasional travel CONUS and OCONUS test locations, approximately 5%.

  Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  Perform regression testing to verify equipment/code updates do not impact non-modified code and test measurements/results with local and remote engineering teams.

  Implement software package installations to support testing of production hardware to certify equipment standardization and alignment across production facilities and perform regression testing to verify equipment/code updates do not impact non-modified code and test conditions/measurements.

  Ensure test and evaluation processes are conducted according to established procedures, communicate status updates or issues to team members, support change reviews prior to implementing instrumentation upgrades/updates, and insure that similar code is performing in a similar manner across all locations

  Troubleshoot and/or support the following: integration issues, failure/troubleshooting data analyses, root cause and corrective action processes, and providing failure identification, characterization, and resolution

  Design of digital and analog circuitry with implementation onto PCB’s and develop and verify test plans and procedures and utilizing laboratory test equipment for testing and troubleshooting

  Basic Qualifications:

  Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, and a minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations

  Experience with the development and integration of Production Test Equipment Hardware and Software and using tools such as MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Unix/Linux, or other similar programming language.

  Experience executing systems engineering activities and using benchtop laboratory test equipment, COTS testers, and laboratory test equipment.

  Experience independently, and in team environments, analyzing electrical system requirements/diagrams/schematics, understanding troubleshooting and failure processes, performing risk identification and mitigation, following processes, and willing to handle and operate equipment with live ordnance.

  Experience working at off-site local facilities and CONUS/OCONUS test ranges.

  Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. US Citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Experience including test, requirements development/evaluation, integration, or verification and validation methods in a missile production environment

  Experience integrating software with hardware/electronics, establishing configuration control processes and familiarity with NI Teststand, SSI, & ATEasy, C#, PSPICE, C++, RS-422, Enet protocols, Linux/Unix environments, and MATLAB

  Experience with requirements test development, test analysis, derivations, verification and test validation, and creating integration and verification strategies to resolve complex test and integration problems

  Experience with RF power sequencing and analysis and being familiar with TLM analysis

  Ability to multi-task across technical efforts in an environment with frequent and direct interaction with customers and peers, proficiently communicate (verbally and written) across diverse engineering teams while remaining customer oriented and results driven.

  Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

  Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

  Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

  Clearance Information: This position requires an active, in-scope security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.   The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
