　　As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be part of the Global Finance Department at HQ in Alameda, CA. This newly created position will have the opportunity to support our margin improvement initiative while providing financial analysis and clear communication of financial impacts of strategic programs that will help drive improved margins. Our Senior Analyst will monitor performance of the programs and conduct / report variance analysis. This highly visible role will partner with different functions within the Division and Corporate departments to ensure the financial and operational success of the margin improvement initiative. This is a broad scoped position with strong opportunity for growth and career development based on performance. This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

　　What You'll Do

　　Review projects in the margin improvement initiative, ensuring financial reliability of actuals and LBE impact reported

　　Prepare key management reports on program performance including performance of the program against target as well as risks and opportunities

　　Reconcile financial impacts of key projects to the P&L actual and LBE, supporting year-over-year gross margin rollforward

　　Support business case guidance, ROI analysis, RCE preparation and contract negotiations as needed for the projects

　　Interact with various functions to analyze and gain better understanding of P&L cost drivers

　　Provide management with findings and recommendations needed to make significant business decisions which impact the organization’s profitability

　　Coordinate the division’s interactions with Medical Device and Corporate functions that support the margin improvement initiative (e.g. Corporate Procurement and Corporate FP&A)

　　Ensure consistent division-wide application of guidance surrounding measurement of sustainable financial impact

　　Ensure compliance with CFMs and other applicable policies in the calculation/validation of sustainable profit

　　Develop and deliver training to the organization on the margin improvement initiative and financial guidance on measuring and reporting savings

　　Accountability for operating with limited supervision on projects with significant interface across functions and groups;

　　Balance demands of a variety of customers with potentially conflicting goals; Meet deadlines with minimal supervision and balance workload requirements; Accountable for meeting critical project deliverables.

　　EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

　　Required:

　　Bachelors Degree (preferably in finance, accounting or economics)

　　3-5 years financial analysis / FP&A experience

　　Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and systems

　　Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting.

　　Highly Proficient in MS Office especially Excel

　　Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization

　　Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret financial data to make recommendations as well as problem solve

　　Preferred:

　　Masters Degree / MBA preferred

　　Experience with Hyperion EssBase, SAP and Power BI
