  Job Description

  To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Senior Denodo Administrator in Chennai/Pune/Bangalore.

   What a typical day looks like:

  Denodo Architecture, Components, Administration Tools, and Configuration (JVM parameters, memory management, Denodo Platform server configuration)

  •Migration Denodo version to the latest on Linux Environments

  Denodo Cluster and solution Manger (active/passive) configuration

  • Installation and configuration of VDP/Scheduler/Data Catalog/Monitoring

  • Setting up Denodo security model.

  • Software upgrades/patching for Solution Manager server and 8 VDP servers on Linux (on-premises) and AWS

  • Use Solution Manager admin tool to create/check revisions, manage deployments across platforms, etc.

  . Knowledge on Automation of deployments across the environments

  . Familiar with Application performance monitoring (APM), IT Infrastructure monitoring

  • Setting up automation scripts to delete VDP /Monitoring logs.

  • Security in Denodo with Databases and access rights

  • Denodo Platform Backup and Restore

  • Using the Denodo Scheduler

  • Users and Roles in Virtual Data Port

  • Database management

  • User management

  • Role management

  • Security concepts (SSL, Kerberos)

  • Monitoring, Cache & DB Refresh, Proactive Prevention of Disk, Space Issues

  • Proficient working with Linux or Unix Operating System

  • Proficient with SQL

  • Keep up to date and maintain Denodo recommended configuration parameters

  • Upgrade from Denodo 8.0 to latest version on all environments

  • Setting up Denodo cache and log monitoring Dbs.

  • Submit support cases to Denodo Perform on-call support duties, maintain on call

  • Communicate/ coordinate and perform necessary actions with Unix/Application/Security/End User folks change approvals, maintenance downtime, server reboots

  • Monitor and respond to instances / servers / databases / SM / etc. notification alerts4-Monitor backup jobs and figure/fix any issue and perform any needed recovery

  • Design Auditing Base views for analysis purpose

  • Maintain/control various log files and email error/alerts using Apache log4j2

  • Monitor the VDP servers and communicate with developers when needed/requested

  • Setting up Kerberos SSO authentication

  • Setting up log custom wrapper/Denodo Monitor reports

  • Monitor database performance and respond to any issues

  • Setting up Denodo scheduler

  • Maintenance of all environments (Dev/Test/QA/PRD)

  • Providing L2/L3 support through Service Now ticketing system.

   The experience we're looking to add to our team: Bachelor's degree in a technical field of study (preferred computer science, automation, informatics, electronics, telecommunications and analytics)8+ years' experience in building and configuring applications with in-depth knowledgeExcellent oral and written communication and presentation skills (English fluent: listening, verbal, written)Self-taught. Ability to learn fast and effectivelyAbility to work in a multicultural environmentExperience with Ticket tracking software (Service Now or similar ticket tracking tool)ITIL and SOX knowledgeStrong attitude towards learning new Tools & automationExperience in interacting with Business users, Solution owners and understand their requirements from a Data integration , Data virtualization ,data analytic, visualization and UI/UX perspective.Work closely with IT groups to understand their current technical ecosystem and design a full-blown Tableau environmentAct as a mentor and SME for other users across the enterprise What you'll receive for the great work you provide: Health InsurancePTOAG05
