  ABOUT THE ROLE

  The Emerging Business team at Peloton is focused on driving efficient, outsized growth for Peloton through business model innovation, seeding and scaling early-stage businesses, and sales channel optimization. Emerging Business comprises several growth-oriented business units, including 1P Retail & Inside Sales, 3P Retail, Peloton for Business, Pre-Owned, Strategic Partnerships, Corp Dev, and International. The team is led by Dion Sanders, Peloton’s Chief Emerging Business Officer.  

  We are looking for a strategic-minded data analyst to join our growing Emerging Business Team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategy & Business Operations, this person will gain a deep understanding of business context and needs, surface and enhance data on Emerging Business performance, and drive strategic decision-making through analysis and insights. They will partner cross-functionally with teams across Emerging Business, Finance, and Enterprise Data and will regularly communicate findings and implications to these stakeholders. 

  YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and opportunities for data analysis and solutions Create dashboards and self-service capabilities for stakeholders through analytics and reporting tools (Looker, Tableau, Google Sheets, etc.) Identify trends, investigate drivers, and present findings to diverse stakeholders, articulating the “so what” by translating insights into strategic, actionable recommendations Anticipate follow-up questions and incorporate them into analyses to address core problems, above and beyond the direct question Serve as a thought partner to Emerging Business functional teams (1P Retail & Inside Sales, 3P Retail, Peloton for Business, Pre-Owned, etc.)  Collaborate with data engineers on the design and building of foundational datasets Collaborate with finance teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting channels Independently plan and prioritize work based on knowledge of strategic context for the team and company YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  6+ years of relevant analytical solutions or business intelligence experience Expertise navigating large datasets Expertise using business intelligence tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.) Understanding of SQL, columnar databases, and distributed file systems Ability to optimize queries and pipelines for efficient performance. Expertise in identifying data trends, investigating drivers, and using insights to make strategic recommendations  Excellent data story-telling skills, through executive-level presentations in Google Slides Experience applying statistical techniques to understand and quantify the relationships between metrics and differentiate between correlation and causation Proven understanding of python, especially libraries and packages focused on data processing and analysis Extremely detail-oriented and highly organized #LI-MS1

  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.   Base Salary Range

  $138,800—$180,400 USD
