Title: Security Systems Technician
Description: Reporting to the Global Security Systems Manager, the Security Systems Technician (GSST) is a remote-based contractor responsible for supporting the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and Global Security leaders in the performance and management of Enterprise security systems. The GSST will be responsible for the following essential functions:
Infrastructure:
o Work with security systems personnel and security champions on maintaining accurate and updated systems and hardware records for all sites.
o Supports Security Systems Enterprise maintenance (replication, updates).
Critical Processes:
o Support the GSOC to troubleshoot basic security systems issues.
Systems Maintenance
o Provide tier one response to technical support, resolution and guidance on physical security systems and hardware issues.
o Coordinate and communicate Security Systems Enterprise planned and unplanned downtimes with cross functional teams and regions.
Operations:
o Support Global Security Systems Roadmap strategy.
o Identify cost reduction opportunities and partner with GSSM for evaluation and implementation.
o Operate as in-house installer for small add-ons, reconfigurations, or decommissioning systems, as needed.
o Provide on-site coordination in the design, installation, and commissioning of new or critical expansion projects, as assigned.
o Manage the physical security systems in strict accordance with company Global Security standards and industry best practices.
o As assigned, manage the on-site assessment, preparation, revision, and deployment of security systems RFP packages and ensure acceptable installations and commissioning per company standards.
o Partner with GSOC and Global Security leadership to ensure optimum performance and monitoring capabilities for all systems.
Vendor Management:
o Engages as needed with Security VAR and 3rd party software support services.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on security systems infrastructure and support
Proficiency in network architecture and protocols, database management, and fiber optics
Strong technical skills in security systems hardware, software, and network components
Strong understanding of project workflow from initiation of a project to final system testing, training, and turnover
Experience with troubleshooting and resolving system downtime or malfunctions.
Superior Customer Service and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other members of the security team.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in the security systems field.
Preferred Qualifications:
IT certifications
Milestone Corporate management experienced.
Enterprise Onguard Management experienced
Strong computer skills and MS Office
Service Now and PowerBI experienced.
Working Conditions:
On occasion working prolonged hours including weekends and holidays to facilitate issue resolution or major Enterprise planned/unplanned downtimes.
Ability to multitask and prioritize projects based on risks and business operations requirements.
This position may require occasional travel to meet with Global Security team members and support multiple projects.
