Principal Duties:

　　Lubricates bearings, electrical motors, etc. in all paving equipment and asphalt plants.Inspects all paving equipment, asphalt plant motors and conveyor belts.Assists Asphalt Plant Operator or Journeyman Mechanic in daily inventory by taking readings of oil and diesel tanks.Performs daily and scheduled maintenance of paving equipment and asphalt plants. Performs preventive maintenance and repairs as required.Operates equipment to assist in maintenance and repairs.Follows OSHA, safety and Company regulations and policies.Performs other duties as assigned.Principal Requirements:

　　High school graduate or equivalent preferred.2 - 5 years of experience in heavy duty equipment and diesel repair.Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics to practical situations.Ability to read, analyze and interpret job requirements, technical procedures, government regulations; ability to write reports, present information, communicate with customers and vendors.Knowledge of basic electrical functions, plumbing, welding/ cutting, belts and bearings.Ability to use hand and pneumatic tools, welder, torches, forklift and loader.Certifications in Cummins engine performance, power train and genset, advanced electrical and CAT computer programming.Air condition 609 LicenseValid Hawaii driver's license and favorable traffic abstract.Capable of multiple dexterity, climbing, crouching, crawling, lying under equipment and lifting or moving up to 100 pounds.We primarily employ carpenters, laborers,and operating engineers. We are signatory to collective bargaining agreements with the following unions listed below and are subject to the hiring rules of each collective bargaining agreement. We anticipate hiring for projects on Oahu, Maui, Hawaii, and Kauai as work becomes available and will be contacting the respective union to fill these positions:
