Job Description

　　Provides technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations. Designs, builds, and implements network systems. Directs compilation of records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance. Troubleshoots network performance issues. Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions. Monitors and responds to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems. Interfaces with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance. Manages the purchase, testing, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/MAN/WAN systems. Performs system-level design and configuration of products including determination of hardware, OS, and other platform specifications. Plans large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies. Performs a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, including personnel, hardware, software, budgetary, and support facilities and/or equipment. Provides quality assurance review and the evaluation of new and existing software products.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　Understands routing (Access Control Lists, Routing Profiles, Autonomous Systems, Etc.).

　　Understand routing protocols. Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is what they use but will accept Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Routing Information Protocol (RIP).

　　Can identify whether the network traffic they are seeing is Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) or if its User Datagram Protocol (UDP).

　　Experience with WAN / LAN and has had hands on troubleshooting experience.

　　Experience with Ticketing Systems

　　Secret Clearance

　　Sec+ Certification or any IET Level 2 equivalent

　　Security+CE

　　CCNA-Security

　　CND

　　SSCP

　　CySA- GICSP

　　GSEC One of the following additional Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA), or Cisco Certified Network Professional Certification (CCNP)

　　Experience programming Call Manager Programing, and not just setting phones up.

　　Experience with Synchronous Optical Network (Sonet) or Sonet SDH

　　DISA or military experience in Tech Control that worked with DISA.

　　Experience creating/interacting with Firewall (ACLs, Troubleshooting, created Policies, Etc.) null
