The role you’ll contribute:
Promotes patient and family centered care by collaborating with entity key stakeholders, hospital administration, and Quality leadership. Oversees patient and customer service focus for the hospital, creating a supporting and healing environment for the patient and their families. Identifies organizational opportunities for delivering a superior patient experience based on customer feedback, proactive consultation, satisfaction results, and analysis of complaints and grievances. Serves as the entity champion for HCAHPs initiatives.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Researches, recommends, trains and deploys programs necessary to provide consistency in the patient experience. Provides appropriate communication to facility stakeholders regarding patient service focused initiatives. Collaboratively works to correct unsafe, hazardous and poor environment of care conditions.
Works with hospital leadership to align patient satisfaction initiative with quality improvement and high reliability efforts.
Provides administrative and data analysis and support related to the patient experience survey results. Assists with action plans for patient and customer service experience surveys.
Functions as a member of, and/or facilitator of, the patient and family advisory council and collaborates to promote patient and family centered care.
Oversight of all entity translation/interpretation services. Assists in arrangement for sign language and foreign language interpreters (through provided vendor or one on one) as needed.
Assumes responsibility for developing proposals, implementation, and communication plans for assigned special projects. Coordinates and assists with the development of a service excellence strategy and tools to support the effective implementation of a culture of service excellence. Provides information and tools to staff members to enable continuous performance improvement; asks questions that encourages continuous incremental improvement thinking.
Assesses change recommendations based on the objectives of the larger organization and the needs of patients and customers and acts accordingly. Able to identify and willing to involve key stakeholders and remove barriers to change.
Builds effective relationships with others through open communication. Creates and maintains a safe environment for conveying information openly, accurately and honestly.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
Required:
Bachelor's degree
3 years of related experience in hospitality or public relations
Strong communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of healthcare operations and regulations
