The Generative AI Org at Meta is seeking a strong technical leader to join our team and work on the next generation of Llama models. As a technical leader of our team, you will play a critical role in building state of the art LLMs. We have the opportunity to help people everywhere get stuff done better and faster. This year we open sourced Llama 2 and launched Meta AI. We will continue investing here to improve model quality and model capabilities.

　　Research Scientist Manager (Llama team) Responsibilities:

　　Grow a team of domain experts within LLM Research of Generative AIDevelop technical vision, long-term strategy and set direction for the team and the organizationDrive execution of developing models and systemsCommunicate, collaborate, and build relationships with clients and peer teams to facilitate cross-functional projectsRemain up-to-date on ongoing research and development activities in the team, help work through technical challenges, and be involved in design decisionsMinimum Qualifications:

　　Experience in leading research projectsExtensive hands on experience in large language model, NLP, and Transformer modeling, in the setting of both research and engineering developmentExtensive experience supporting and leading teams of software engineers and research scientistsProven technical vision in where the field of generative AIExperience with cross functional collaboration with product and platform teams, as well as non-engineering functionsDemonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance managementPreferred Qualifications:

　　PhD in deep learning, artificial intelligence, and/or related technical fieldExperience and knowledge of ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.Experience and knowledge of training LLMsAbout Meta:
