We are looking for a Research Intern based at our Ann Arbor, MI site. In this role, you will serve in support of the development and integration of Sartorius' emerging optical technologies for characterization of live cells. These leading-edge platforms will be utilized in basic research as well as the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
Grow with Us - Your ResponsibilitiesOn a daily basis, you will support development of prototype platforms through to proof of conceptYou will work closely with internal and external subject matter experts to identify and understand the nature of nascent imaging technologies.You will gather, analyze and define requirements for optical analytical tools.In addition, you will provide support or guidance to technical support team and R&D teams as needed for transfer of technologies developed and/or adopted into the Sartorius product development or OEM organizations.
What Will Convince UsYou have completed a MS or enrolled in a PhD program in Bioengineering, Chemistry, or closely related discipline.You have background knowledge in spectroscopic techniques such as Raman, Infrared, UV-Vis absorption and fluorescence.You have previous hands-on experience with culturing and maintaining live cells is preferred.You have the ability to interface with specialists from target biological application areas and engineering disciplines such as mechanical (hardware, fluidic, thermal), electrical, software, sensor technology (optical, electronical), and chemical.You have experience working as part of multi-partner R&D projects.
