Job Description:
The Office of the Registrar is seeking a Registrar Specialist II to join the Academic Planning and Progress team. This team supports the creation and ongoing maintenance of undergraduate academic progress reports (i.e., degree audits) and academic plan templates (i.e., four-year plans.) Accuracy of these tools is essential as they are relied on by students, advisors, academic units, certification and financial aid officials, and for degree completion.

The chosen candidate must be an analytical thinker who thrives in an environment where solving complex problems is the norm. Similarly, the ability to communicate complex solutions or technical processes to an external audience is required. A proven track record of attention to detail while simultaneously not losing sight of the larger goals of the team and the university is required. Collegiality is expected and the chosen candidate will need to enjoy both working independently and as part of a small team to complete tasks within strict timelines. This position will be expected to enforce the requirements of the Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) as well as all applicable university policies. The successful candidate thrives in a deadline driven environment and welcomes the evolution of priorities and challenges that come with significant organizational change.
The Office of the Registrar values work life balance and supports University WorkFlex options. These options include scheduled hybrid work days (up to 60%) and flexible start/stop schedules ranging from 7:30AM – 5:30PM. The selected candidate will be expected to work during University Commencement Ceremonies each fall and spring semester, which occur outside of posted business hours.
This is a two-year term position.
Example of Duties
Provides exceptional customer service to students, families, and individuals from across campus
Gathers and analyzes academic requirements from the academic catalog and supplemental documentation provided by the academic units
Creates configuration in Workday Student which best matches the specifications identified
Communicates configuration solutions to campus partners and incorporating feedback as able into the design
Troubleshoots complex and escalated configuration issues
Level Guidelines• Intermediate-level position with solid professional and/or technical skills working under general supervision to achieve goals• Applies broad, working knowledge of the principles of the field to moderately complex, difficult, and varied problems and issues• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and resolve problems• Responds to a broad range of inquiries and requests• May provide training and/or direction to lower-level staff• May lead projects of moderate scope and complexity• Provides guidance to students
