  ScopeAs a Registered Nurse you know that every day is different, which is why youneed to know how toAssess, recognize and address patients psychological and physical needs-Foster quality of care with the best interests of patients and their familiesin mind- Communicate compassionately and effectively- Assist in developingindividualized treatment plans- Comply with evaluation, treatment anddocumentation guidelines- Oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs-Participate in clinical team conferences- Follow hospital, regulatory andprofessional guidelines, policies and procedures

  Minimum Qualifications

  EducationRequired:Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.

  A Registered Nurse with an ASN/ADN degree must complete a BSN degree withinfour (4) years from the Registered Nurse's date of hire unless theRegistered Nurse has a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuousRegistered Nurse experience in an acute care setting. Failure to obtain a BSNdegree within that time frame may result in suspension or termination ofemployment. Any Registered Nurse who takes legally protected leave during theFour (4) year completion period may have the period extended by acomparable amount of time.Registered Nurses employed by St Vincent, Good Samaritan, St. Joseph, orLutheran Medical Centers as of September 1, 2014 with only an ASN/ADN willbe exempt from this requirement. Registered Nurses employed by Holy Rosary,Platte Valley, St. Mary's, Home Health, and TSFP as of December 31,2017 with only an ASN/ADN will be exempt from this requirement.

  CertificationRequired:Current Colorado RN license.Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers(BLS-HCP) certification upon hire.

  Physical Requirements:Ongoing need for employee to see and readinformation, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identifyequipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient careproviders, patients, and visitors that require employee to verballycommunicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms,needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergencysituations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complexand delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequentcomputer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing neededinformation, med cation preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift andutilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend toretrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes itemsof varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk andassist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributingsupplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portableequipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded andbusy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).- and-May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period ofti
