SUMMARY: Facilitator will be responsible for finding, supporting andimplementing improvement efforts in production - Majority of their time willbe spent on the shop floor observing process and procedures and working handin hand with production employees to identify opportunities/ problems andcreate solutions.
COMPANY RESPONSIBILITIES:Safety - Ensure that associates recognize and signal unsafe processes,behaviors and hazards immediately in their area.High Performance - Train and encourage associates to immediately signalabnormal line conditions to their manager and help them adjust or correct thesituation to resume continuous flow and ensure that defects are never passedon to the next step in the process.Integrity& Honesty - Demonstrate and enforce full compliance to rules,regulations and standards with a committed passion to improve the standards.Focus - Enable associates to identify improvements that link to the strategicdirection and objectives of the Company to reinforce the associate'sunderstanding of how their work impacts these goals and measures.Teamwork - Encourage and reinforce associates to work in teams to solveproblems, identify waste and meet organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESBuild and maintain good communication and strong relationships with operators.Find opportunities in production processes, focusing on areas that areoverburden, uneven and have waste.Promote Safety, Quality and Production with all associates.Schedule team meeting to discuss problems and facilitate finding the rootcause.Suggest Kaizen ideas based on knowledge of production and observations.Participate in and/ or lead Kaizen events, 6'S program, and productionquality control.Supports the Production Supervisor by working as their eyes and ears on theproduction floor to identify issues.Implement the solutions agreed upon by the Operators, ProductionSupervisor, and themselves.Initiates and participates in any production projects identified to better theproductivity for the production floor.Test, measure, and analyze products.DIRECT REPORTSNone
REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCETo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below arerepresentative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Knowledge of Lean or Kaizen experience preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredMust be Bi- Lingual - able to read, write and speak Spanish and Englishrequired to perform job functions.Possess Basic Microsoft experience (Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Outlook).Must be able to work flexible hours - Mon - Saturday - 2nd shift.Ability to effectively commincate information during one on ones and smallgroup situations with other employees of the organziation.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge in lean manufacturing and production processes. Experience in trussmanufacturing is a plus.Flexible with work schedule - ability to work different or additional hourswith little notice.Focuses on Safety and Quality.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodology and practices.Strong willingness to embrace and promote "Lean or Kaizen".Ability to actively participate in problem solving activities.Good communication skill, able to communicate with associates on the shopfloor.Ability to put ideas on paper when needed.PHYSICAL ACTIVITYThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must bemet by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of thisjob.
