Description
The Senior Supply Chain Manager oversees day to day procurement of raw materials, supplies and other related products and services to support Marvin operational needs for the Warroad facility. Responsibilities also include inventory planning/management, alignment to enterprise supply chain processes and plans, direct oversight of material transitions and coordination with facility receiving/warehouse management. This role is expected to work collaboratively across many functions. It is also responsible for the development and daily performance management of procurement staff.
Highlights of your role
Ensure materials are ready for production – support production plans, goals, objectives
Partner with supporting functions to meet procurement/supply chain goals and objectives – both facility and enterprise.
Responsible for developing, managing, implementing and continuously improving plans, policies, and processes for supply chain in partnership with additional support functions (Quality, Production Mgmt.., Safety, Engineering and HR).
Directly manages department leadership and some individual contributors. Ensures roles are aligned to provide value to Marvin and to achieve department, operations and company goals and objectives. Responsible and accountable for performance management.
Material Management: Develop, manage, and maintain alliances with key suppliers and enterprise supply chain roles to ensure materials are managed appropriately.
Includes supplier performance management/feedback – quality, delivery and service
Identification, implementation and sustained execution of cost improvement plans and/or programs
Collaborates with cross-functional areas and support groups to initiate or carry out projects or initiatives that support business objectives
Regular reporting as required to all impacted stakeholders progress to plan, goals and general results.
Prepare and maintain a budget and report exceptions and variances as required.
You're a good fit if you have
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and
MRP systems utilization experience or accelerated learning aptitude in technology/systems
Detail-oriented and organized, with attention to accuracy
Ability to confidentially maintain personal information and understand and respect the nature of sensitive data
Highly collaborative, supportive leader both cross-functionally and departmentally
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including conflict resolution.
We also want to make sure you have:
Bachelor's degree in a related area from a recognized program or institution is preferred.
5 years successful supervisory and/or production management/leadership experience.
Supply Chain / Procurement / Warehouse management/leadership experience a plus
