JOB SUMMARY:
The Landing Gear Program Manager is responsible for managing the Commercial Landing Gear repair and overhaul activities within the organization. Specifically, the program manager is accountable for the oversight of jobs, scheduling, customer coordination, and accounting of Landing Gear maintenance events performed by Able. The ability to communicate internally between departments as well as externally with customers and suppliers is critical to the overall success of the program.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organize day-to-day Landing Gear activities in accordance with the goals of the organization and in conjunction with customer requirements.
Provide technical support to customers.
Works in conjunction with Quality and Engineering regarding OEM concessions, life limited parts, Service Bulletins and Back to Birth traceability.
Coordination and tracking of customer-supplied parts.
Ensure deliveries are accomplished on time through tracking and expediting.
Produce accurate and timely reporting of job status throughout the overhaul and repair process.
Analyze program risks and troubleshooting to minimize and eliminate such risks.
Works in conjunction with Sales, Operations, and Production to create a tracking system as it pertains to scheduling and prioritization.
Management of Core returns in accordance with exchange agreements.
Alignment with the Customer Service and Pricing Teams to capture true and accurate accounting for each maintenance event.
Create a tracking system as it pertains to scheduling and prioritization.
Communicates with customers via phone and email weekly/daily for in-work jobs and helps resolve customer questions on jobs/quotes.
Manages customers’ quote approvals and provide additional quotes, if necessary.
Help facilitate customer bill backs or invoice concerns with other internal groups.
Work with customers on any Warranty issues/returns.
Work with Engineering on Engineering Order Creation, Fee’s andRev’s.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required in
Business Management
Engineering
Related field
Program management experience preferred
Program/Project Management certification preferred
Minimum 5 years of relevant aviation related experience
QUALIFICATONS:
Experienced with Microsoft Project for task scheduling.
Experience working with contracts and contract modifications.
Knowledge of PowerBI metric tool.
Ability to independently determine and develop solutions with only general direction.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work with outside suppliers, as well as customers.
Self-starter and motivator that works well in a team environment.
Ability to implement and manage other elements to support the product.
Strong command of MS Office Tools.
Cross-functional teamwork history.
Ability to influence senior leaders using data and lead transformational change
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization through various mediums.
Strong project management skills, and ability to network across the company to achieve objectives.
Strong analytical, quantitative and presentation skills.
