Introduction to Blue Oval City
Ford is investing $11.4 billion to build two state-of-the art manufacturing facilities, BlueOval City in Tennessee, and BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will use Ford’s 100-years of automobile manufacturing expertise and will be among the largest automotive manufacturing campuses in U.S. history. Like the iconic Rouge complex in Michigan did a century earlier, BlueOval City will usher in a new era for American manufacturing and will harness Ford’s global manufacturing expertise and innovative technologies. Ford has selected to partner with SK Innovation for their battery expertise and Redwood Materials to design a manufacturing ecosystem that has as minimal impact as possible on the surrounding environments. BlueOval City embodies the transformational Ford+ plan for growth and value creation in combining existing strengths and new capabilities.
