About Principal Product Designer, ART19

  Description

We are seeking a Principal Product Designer for ART19. As ART19’s strategic design leader, you will set the overall design vision and deliver an elegant and intuitive user experience for the tools that will be used by many of the top publishers, media companies, and agencies in the digital audio space. You will influence multiple partner teams and work with product and engineering leaders across our organization, driving mechanisms to connect those teams’ work into a single, holistic, end-to-end experience for our publisher customers.

We are looking for a passionate leader with an impressive ability to collaborate across functions and with a relentless focus on doing what’s right for customers. As a hands-on design leader, you will define frameworks and methodologies to scale design. You will both manage the design team at ART19 as well as individually execute on a variety of internal design projects, from discovery to workflow development, to wireframes and high-fidelity mocks, creating experiences that enable podcasters to work more quickly, accurately and efficiently. You will relentlessly simplify and distill complex business processes into intuitive and elegant experiences, working from high-level requirements to define design flows, interactions, and content strategies in collaboration with business leaders, engineers, product managers, and other UX designers.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary with a proven record of delivery, strong customer instincts, and outstanding design judgement. You must be a critical, inventive thinker with an excitement for understanding and using data, and the ability to communicate your ideas effectively. Being a big podcast fan is a plus.

  Key job responsibilities

Own and drive the mechanisms used by the design team to work with multiple partners teams in order to get alignment on customer problems, product vision, and accurate priorities.

Manage and mentor other designers while successfully executing on individual work designing elegant and cutting edge web and mobile products.
