Theoretical background in ab initio, semi-empirical, and atomistic simulations.

Track record of research conducted using ab initio, including DFT, methods. Hands-on experience with molecular dynamics and Monte-Carlo simulations and investigation of properties of structural and functional materials.

Experience of using standard packages for computational modeling of materials at the atomic scale.

Demonstrated ability to plan and execute research, collect, and analyze information in detail.

  Proficiency in scientific programming.

Familiarity with basic principles of thermodynamics, kinetics, statistical mechanics, and data sciences.

Ability to work independently and take initiative in the completion of tasks important to the projects. These include the preparation of first drafts of papers for peer-reviewed journals and technical presentations at scientific conferences.
