Peer Support Specialist, Full-Time, Second Shift, Mobile Crisis Unit
UC Health is hiring a full-time Peer Support Specialist for the Mobile Crisis Unit's department for the second shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
The Peer Support Specialist will support the University of Cincinnati Medical Center’s rehabilitation service's' department and Greater Cincinnati’s only Level I Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs. The Peer Support Specialist provides services to individuals with mental health/substance use disorders. Under direct supervision, the Peer Support Specialist will function as a role model to peers pursuing recovery; exhibiting competency in personal recovery and use of coping skills; serve as an advocate, provide information about peer support in outpatient and inpatient settings. The Peer Support Specialist performs a wide range of tasks to assist peers in regaining independence within the community and ownership over their own recovery process.
