   THE ROLE

  As a Payroll Specialist at Alight you will be part of our operational team. The team of specialists is responsible for ensuring that we are skilled and knowledgeable in meeting our client(s) deadlines, whilst also providing the best service to our clients and delivering functional and technical expertise and support.

   RESPONSIBILITIES

  Provide daily functional support and expertise to the operational team to support the successful delivery of payrolls and post payroll declarationsto support and help on System Maintenance Testingto update, maintain and enforce the use of any process documentationto help with the resolution of Technical/Functional issues and ensuring all system issues/defects are reported correctlyto manage the legislation roadmap and ensure the team is upskilled in upcoming legal changesto support on Year End Activities: specific for Belcotax activities

  Provide daily support to your portfolio of client(s) to be the main point for your client(s)to ensure all information is accurate and provided on timeto be able to recognize and deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential informationto proactively identify upsell opportunitiesto support our management with the resolution of client escalationsto build good relationships with all lines of businesses where appropriate

  Provide ad hoc support and advice to our company to provide support and guidance for implementations and go livesto support the review of the Statement of Works before it is shared with the Client to ensure its fit for purposeto work with other teams to implement automation, innovation and any continuous improvement programsto upskill and develop team members through training delivery and coaching to enable them to fulfil their role

   REQUIREMENTS

  5 years relevant experience administering Payroll in an HR consulting, HR Outsourcing or Corporate environmentExpert knowledge on payroll processes, practices and associated legislationStrong knowledge of the various inputs and outputs such as third party interfaces, timekeeping, tax filing/compliance, benefits and other key areas that integrate with payrollAbility to identify and mitigate risksStrong knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPointFlexibility to support a global and fast paced environmentAttention to detailExcellent written and verbal skillsSelf-motivated and a willingness to learnAbility to collaborate and work in a team environment, as well as independently while adhering to processes and procedures
