Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering graduates to join our Orlando, Florida (FL) office in 2024! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
Supportthe development of airport pavement management systems for commercial airports and state agencies
Travel to airports nationwide to perform pavement condition inspection
Support design of airportpavementprojects as requested
Prepare analysis reports in support of airport planning, design, and construction
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of aviation management and other staff, contractors, and others encountered in the course of work
Manage and deliver tasks under limited supervision and guidance
Support similar efforts for private and municipal clients on non-aviation related pavement management and maintenance programs
Qualifications
An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2024 in one of the following majors:
Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, or Agricultural Engineering
EIT/EI certification or have the ability to obtain certification
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability and willingness to travel for site visits as required by the position (approximately 30% of time)
Ability to apply technical skills to meet project demands and solve problems for our clients
Positive attitude and an impressive work ethic
Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines
Attention to details and ability to contribute to a positive work environment
Passion and demonstrated drive to achieve goals
Exposure to AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and GIS
