Growing together.The Patient Access Registration Representative supports patient caredelivery in Emergency department, admitting, switch board, andinformation desk areas. We offer 6 8 weeks of paid training. The hoursof the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on yourfirst day of employment. Training will be conducted on site. PrimaryResponsibilities: Greets visitors and patients in person. Communicatesby telephone or video conferencing, upholding excellent customerservice. Handles confidential information appropriately by protectingand disclosing information to only those authorized. Understands andfollows all Switchboard departmental processes implemented. Prioritizesby assessing and analyzing information to identify immediate emergencyneeds. Demonstrates technical knowledge and competence in thedepartmental procedures and maintains current physician on callschedules to ensure appropriate communication to ProHealth CarePhysicians. Enters and updates patient demographic and financialinformation, ensuring the patient is fully registered as early in theprocess as possible. Obtains appropriate applications and forms,confirming signatures are on file. Photocopies / scans documents asneeded. Provides patients with financial responsibility information andcollects patient liabilities, documents amounts in the appropriatefields, and balances the cash box daily. Works with partneringdepartments (Financial Counseling, Scheduling, Financial Clearance, andclinical areas) to ensure all aspects of the patient\'s encounter arecompleted as needed. Provides wayfinding instructions and assists withhospital information as requested. Coordinates patient admission needs,bed assignments, and tracking boards where applicable. Meets or exceedsaudit accuracy standards. Works worklists and error reports timely, andproactively seeks assistance to resolve as needed. May perform otherduties upon request.
