　　About the Role:

　　The Lead Maintenance Mechanic supports the maintenance department. This position is under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for performing duties to repair, and maintain machinery, equipment, building and facilities requiring a broad knowledge of maintenance skills. Our Lead Maintenance Mechanics are viewed as active supporters of lean and preventative maintenance systems.

　　The Lead Maintenance Mechanic is also responsible for assigning work orders and auditing completed work of the Maintenance Mechanics and Senior Maintenance Mechanics.

　　Troubleshoot PLC and Electrical equipment as well as responsible to make minor changes.

　　Install, repair, rebuild, adjust and maintain machinery and equipment used in production which may also involve the dismantling, inspection, machining or replacement of purchased parts.

　　Perform various activities relative to the installation and relocation of existing machines and equipment.

　　Work with Plant Engineer, Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and Operations to complete projects; submits cost-savings projects.

　　Conducts maintenance training for new and current employees, as needed. Perform PM Audits as required.

　　Schedule mechanics and plan work schedule for assigned shift.

　　Lock out Tag out (LOTO) champion for shift.

　　Responsible for shift SAP documentation.

　　Track assigned CSI (cost savings initiatives) projects for maintenance.

　　Monitor line area ownership and oversee PM completions (as it pertains to assigned shift personnel).

　　Follows and enforces standards for food safety and food quality production reflected in SQF.

　　Engagement in plant Continuous Improvement efforts including participation with Process Improvement Teams.

　　Identify improvement opportunities and 5S initiatives.

　　Contributes to team effort by performing other assigned duties as needed.

　　Maintains cooperative relationship with coworkers and management by communicating necessary information, responding to requests, building report; and participating in problem solving methods.

　　Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role on Crew 1, which operates from 6:00a to 6:00p Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday . $37.34/hr shift.
