Job Description
Perform the role of bartender by following the proper steps of service, Standard Operating Procedures, Power of One principles, and standards of conduct, in addition to being an effective team member and exceeding guests’ expectations.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Prepare bar and tables with special attention to sanitation and order.
Promptly acknowledge guests upon entrance to outlet, communicating in a professional manner, avoiding slang terminology.
Obtain identification for alcoholic beverages to ensure patron is of legal drinking age.
Provide list of needs each day to immediate supervisor.
Preparing alcohol and non-alcohol beverages for bar patrons and restaurant servers, following recipes accurately and consistently.
Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Obtain requests efficiently and accurately, while answering questions and making recommendations.
Upsell to maintain financial responsibility to Omni.
Handle guest issues with a positive attitude, always alerting your supervisor/manager on duty.
Correctly processing all forms of payment.
Complete assigned side work in an orderly fashion, without disrupting service for patrons. In addition to any other opening or closing tasks, or needs, to ensure the restaurant is prepared for service.
Attend required meetings.
Be aware of the guidelines set forth in the Moments of Service.
Any other tasks, responsibilities, or actions that are deemed necessary by your immediate supervisor.
Tools and Equipment:
Bar tools required to prepare cocktails: shaker, jigger, strainer, pour spouts, muddler, zester, bar spoon, tap system, correct glassware, and standard recipe guide
Working Environment:
Interior of hotel, in all areas of the hotel.
Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
Exposure to food items and beverages.
Qualifications
Qualifications and requirements:
At least one-year previous bartending experience is essential
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience of high volume bartending
Mixology knowledge of specialized cocktails.
