  Chemours is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to join our growing Health Services team. This position will be available at the Starke, Florida site and report directly to the Regional Nurse Manager.

  As an Occupational Health Nurse, this position will provide nursing treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses and assist in case management for prolonged or complex illnesses/injuries. The Occupational Health Nurse will maintain medical records per established guidelines. The Occupational Health Nurse role performs medical screenings such as drug and alcohol, vision, blood pressure, audiograms, respirator exams, and spirometry testing. ​

  The Occupational Health Nurse will ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate guidelines. The Occupational Health Nurse will interact with employees, line management, safety, plant management, and health care providers on health and fitness-for-duty issues. ​

  The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  Work independently of daily physician oversight and recognize when the need for consultation with a physician is necessary

  Implement wellness and prevention programs in conjunction with Occupational Health, Safety, and Human Resources

  Maintain plant-specific current knowledge of local hazards, toxic materials, and relevant emergency medical care​

  Provide antidote training for employees and first responders​

  Acute care management: Provide first aid and determine if additional medical treatment is needed​

  Experience & ability to manage emergency care situations​ for acute injuries/illness/incidents: syncope, HTM exposure, chest pain​

  Work with site Emergency Responders to prepare patients for off-site transport during medical emergencies

  Coordinate with Emergency Response Team for confined space and occupational hazard assessments​

  Interact with site HR, Safety, Plant Manager​, and Leave Coordinator

  Assist Leave Coordinator with short term disability management

  Liaison between employee and manager regarding health issues/restrictions while maintaining confidential employee medical information

  Work with employees and supervisors for EAP referrals​

  Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, EEOC, and HIPAA laws​; manage computer applications for comprehensive patient tracking systems.

  Available for calls for emergency guidance or assessment after-hours

  The following is required for this role:

  3-5 years experience in an occupational health nursing setting or emergency room setting

  Knowledge of fields relevant to occupational health nursing, including substance abuse, Workers’ Compensation, OSHA, toxicology, epidemiology, and disability case management.

  Skills: vision testing, spirometry, audiometry, urinalysis, EKG, drug screen collection (urine and breath alcohol), venipuncture, immunizations

  The following is preferred for this role:

  RN with an unrestricted current license from the state Board of Nursing

  Advance Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

  Current NIOSH Spirometry certification, CAOHC certification

  Compact Nursing License (must obtain within 6 months of hire)

  Certified Occupational Health Nurse

  Knowledge of Cority, ODG Guidelines, Workday, and Kronos

  Pay Range (in local currency):

  $81,715.00 - $127,680.00

  Chemours Level:

  24

  Annual Bonus Target:

  8%

  The pay range and incentives listed above is a general guideline based on the primary location of this job only and not a guarantee of total compensation. Factors considered in extending a compensation offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, and alignment with market data. The incentive pay is dependent on business results and individual performance and subject to the terms and conditions of the specific plans.
