Overview
Located in the Phoenix Arizona suburb of Gilbert, Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is a 198-bed not-for profit hospital with more than 1300 employees and almost 900 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. In 2014 Phoenix Children’s Hospital launched a 22-bed pediatric unit inside the hospital.
Mercy Gilbert opened in 2006 and has been a vital part of the growing community. Today it is the fifth largest employer in Gilbert. During the fiscal year ending June 30 2016 Mercy Gilbert provided more than $24 million in community benefit. As a result of Dignity Health’s mission to deliver health care and partner with the community more than 42000 people in the East Valley were reached through community health services.

Responsibilities
Leads the daily operations of Nutrition Assistants and nutrition support staff to assist in ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Participates in and supports all aspects of healthcare food service operations.
Works with facility staff to provide optimal nutritional care and demonstrates excellent customer service to patients, guests and staff.
Follows diet manual handbook and diet spreadsheets to ensure therapeutic meal compliance with prescribed diet order.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Four (4) years experience in food service
Two (2) years hospital nutrition experience
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
ServSafe® Allergen certification (within 30 days of hire)
ServSafe® Food Handler certification (within 30 days of hire)
Pay Range
$19.73 - $27.13 /hour
