Meta is looking for a talented, highly motivated engineer to join the Edge and Network Services team. This team is responsible for process and systems for deploying and supporting one of the world's largest, most complex, and robust networks. Automation is the key to meeting our demands; you will be responsible for executing on our vision for integrating detection , triaging and directed repair into our pipeline for front end and back end networks supporting AI/ML applications . 　　Network Engineer, Foundation Services Automation Responsibilities:

　　Automation and integration into existing pipelines, of alerting, triage and repair for IP, Ethernet, and non-Ethernet networks.Improve efficiency through automation and processes improvements.Collaborate with internal and cross functional partner teams to define and automate optimal workflows for network deployment and repair.Proactively find gaps that impact multiple teams/orgs, come up with the execution plan and drive the project and influence other teams to reach there.Develop automated methods to detect, mitigate and remediate network events.Help make the people around you move faster by identifying issues slowing the team down and driving changes to address them.Lead/mentor other team members - Work with other team members from partner teams, understand their challenges, help them find a solution.Help with recruiting and onboarding of new members to the team. Help them by mentoring and assuring their quick ramp up within our environment.Perform detailed troubleshooting and engage with cross functional teams to fix Operations/tooling issues.Drive requirements with cross functional teams to align our internal tooling efforts.Minimum Qualifications:

　　10+ years of experience Automation experience in the Networking domain in large scale networks.Knowledge of data communications optics (fiber optics and transceivers).Knowledge and experience in Python.Knowledge and experience with Rest APIs.Knowledge of Linux OS/networking.Experience with network devices (routers, switches, load balancers).Experience working within a global team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with limited supervision.Preferred Qualifications:

　　MS or Graduate work experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Experience with developing or operating distributed systems at scale.Knowledge of AI/HPC architectures.Knowledge of technology-agnostic approach to engineering.Knowledge and experience with one or more of (C, C++, Go or Rust).About Meta:
