Museum Exhibit Manager

SUMMARY
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Museum Exhibit Manager position with ASM Global at the Boeing Center at Tech Port. Under the supervision of the General Manager and Port San Antonio representatives, the Museum Exhibit Manager will be the point of contact to execute the terms of the Boeing sponsorship agreements for activation of museum exhibits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead daily operations for agreed upon exhibits and experiences inside Area 21 at the Boeing Center
Develop processes and policies for exhibit operations
Develop and maintain part-time staff to support exhibit operations while working with ASM, Port San Antonio and the San Antonio Museum of Science & Technology to host school tours, VIP visits and special events
Develop and showcase technical proficiency with sponsored exhibit experiences
Create training schedule and proficiency tests for part-time staff to ensure adequate knowledge of exhibit(s) is maintained by all personnel
Develop best practice for troubleshooting technical aspects of exhibit(s) while creating feedback to sponsor to constantly improve the experience(s)
Conduct facility tours for clients, students and prospective partners daily
Management of all operational equipment related to sponsored exhibit(s)
Coordinate with the San Antonio Museum of Science & Technology to effectively communicate the story of the exhibit(s) within the overall message of Area 21
Perform daily research and observation to compile visitor satisfaction trends, exhibit improvements and potential enhancements to support the overall experience.
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Two years administrative and project-management experience in a not-for-profit setting, preferably in a museum environment, or the equivalent education and experience preferred
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively and professionally under pressure while sustaining a high level of attention to detail
Experience with customer service and guest relations
Event & hospitality management experience preferred
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure while prioritizing multiple projects with competing deadlines
Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work well with educators, business leaders, students and guests
Ability to lead and administer teams, organize and delegate with staff and foster communication with multiple organizations
Strategic and critical thinker who is dynamic, forward-thinking, analytical, and extremely well organized
Experience with Training & Educating
Excellent service & communication skills
Digital/social media experience
Detail oriented and organized with ability to meet concrete deadlines
Willingness to work the hours required to fulfill the commitments of the role which include after-hours and weekend special events
Must pass background check
