We are seeking a mission-focusedMission System Engineerto support and contribute to our government customer’s success in Denver, Colorado!
Responsibilities
As a Mission System Engineer, you will be a key member of the team, delivering cutting edge capabilities for intelligence systems to some of the U.S. Government’s most critical missions utilizing the latest technologies in Cloud Computing, AI/ML, and DevSecOps. You will help define new capabilities and plan and track the execution of these capabilities. You will work closely with the Program Management, Product Management, Architecture, Solution teams and government, to understand, propose, and execute. You will be the key advocate an d subject matter expert to deliver the right capabilities into the hands of our users.
Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of existing and proposed contract scope, working closely with government product owners.
Understand the applications and services, and how they are and can be used to support a wide variety of missions.
Coordinate with agile teams to track new scope from estimation through implementation to deployment into production.
Support design efforts, working with user engagement, architects, and product owners.
Support SAFe processes and ceremonies throughout planning and implementation.
Qualifications
Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
An active TS/SCI security clearance, preferably with CI polygraph
Five (5) or more years of experience working as a systems engineer or in a related field.
Bachelors’ degree in engineering, computer science, or a technical discipline
Understanding of Jira, Confluence, MS Excel, and MS Project
Understanding of software and systems engineering principles
Familiarity with agile development methodologies
A bias toward action on behalf of user needs
The ability to collaborate, problem solve, and debate potential solutions with peers to determine the best approach.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
Familiarity with modern, enterprise cloud development
Familiar with intelligence systems
Experience in managing project of medium to high scale and complexity.
Experience working with a variety of stakeholders at both the engineering and program management level.
Experience briefing customers on project status.
Security Clearance Level
TS/SCI with an adjudicated CI polygraph or ability to obtain a CI polygraph

Pay Rate
The projected compensation range for this position is $125,000-$225,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Criterion Systems considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
