　　The focus of this position is to cover all materials/chemical engineering tasks related to research and development projects for instrument transformers.

　　Essential Responsibilities

　　Manage all chemical/materials engineering related projects as assigned

　　Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, electrical engineers, and mechanical designers, to ensure customer satisfaction

　　Provide technical expertise and guidance in the selection of materials, such as insulating fluids, and gases, solid or semi-solid insulating materials, metals etc. to optimize product performance

　　Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to identify potential improvements or modifications to existing materials used in high voltage equipment

　　Collaborate with technical and non-technical team members at remote factories to ensure job success

　　Offer technical support to internal and external stakeholders, including customers and field service teams, to address inquiries and troubleshoot issues

　　Required Qualifications

　　Bachelor's degree, or higher, from college or university in Chemistry, Chemical or Materials EngineeringDesired Characteristics

　　Minimum of 1 year of related experience in the power industry

　　Previous work related to dielectric materials used in medium and or high voltage and/or high current equipment, such as insulating gases (SF6 or it’s alternatives), fluids (mineral oil or alternative fluids, such as esters, silicone fluids) and/or solid materials (polymer, composite materials)

　　Previous work related to metals used in high voltage equipment, such as ferrous and non-ferrous metals

　　Knowledge of materials analysis methods

　　Technical project management experience is a plus

　　Previous work in a chemical lab is a plus

　　Experience with silicone based insulating materials is an advantage

　　Effective written and verbal communication skills in English are required.

　　The successful candidate is expected to manage the assigned tasks independently based on the manager’s input. Occasional travel might be required.

　　Ability to work in a global environment

　　Ability to effectively communicate with other engineers of different background (electrical, mechanical)
