Job Description Summary
The US Marketing Manager - BD Synapsys Marketing Manager is responsible for all downstream marketing activities, commercialization strategies and planning, sales collaboration strategies and management of the informatics solution within the US region. The successful candidate will be able to build and lead marketing plans to exceed unit revenue, category share and profitability goals for assigned product portfolios, contribute to Global Marketing initiatives, and work collaboratively across the matrix. The role will work with several stakeholders across global, functional, and US regional teams to enable the execution of BD's IDS Informatics roadmap priorities.

Responsibilities:
Leads all aspects of US marketing plans to ensure the achievement of financial/budget expectations and product line priorities; collaborates to create regional marketing plansDrives tactical marketing initiatives and regional knowledge sharing.Works closely with the Sales teams to effectively implement marketing strategies and drive tactical plans to attain/exceed sales and category share objectives.Partners with other platform marketing leads and Commercial Marketing Team to ensure integrated messaging and roll out to the field.Develop/maintain an understanding of current markets, vision of encouraged market evolution with an understanding of the implications on customer needs. This includes assessments for existing products, and new capabilities/applications for informatics platforms. Can scope and outline competitive landscapes and perceived impacts to the portfolio.Contributes to the annual financial planning cycle for the US: budget, forecasts and ASR.Initiates, coordinates, and drives key marketing initiatives.Successfully launches new products; working with the global team to identify early adopters and ensuring alignment for commercial readinessProvides marketing and/or technical support at conferences, users' meetings, customer sites, end user workshops, and other specific marketing events.Builds relationships with internal stakeholders, and effectively communicates short- and long-term business priorities to functional leaders (i.e., Service) to ensure a unified agenda. Identifies potential gaps and proposes possible solutions.Ensures compliance with BD policies, procedures, and practices, including serving as point-person in marketing communication copy approval process.
Qualifications:
Typically requires a B.S. in a Life Sciences or Marketing discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum of 3 years of business experience. Business experience may include marketing, sales, business development.Experience in informatics/software solutions and/or cross portfolio solution marketing preferredExperience in the development of successful campaigns, and co-marketing activities with distribution partners is highly preferred.Demonstrated proficiency in business and sales competence. Scientific and technical knowledge with the ability to understand and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial to drive revenue growth.Creative out-of-the-box problem solver who is intellectually curious, stays current on new trends, and takes calculated risks with novel ideas.Driven, entrepreneurial, positive spirit who seeks to grow and succeed as a team.Proven track record to work on functional teams and across multiple functions.Effective interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication; demonstrated abilities in organization, prioritization and planning, goal setting, analytical and problem solving.Results-oriented, with demonstrated ability to multi-task; capable of leading and driving the completion of multiple challenging projects.
