Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
This position has a responsibility of developing Agiliti’s manufacturing excellence strategy and deploying manufacturing operating system to deliver operational results across the manufacturing plants, will work closely with a cross functional team, bringing new products from engineering validation through product launch, and ensure that manufacturing is sustained throughout production, will lead a team of engineers to guide problem solving on the manufacturing line, track and improve key manufacturing performance metrics, manage expansion of line capacity, and design and implement improvements. This position will establish and improve the operational systems to drive predictable and continuously improving operational results.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain lean transformation roadmap for Agiliti manufacturing plants so that they consistently improve plant operational results towards their strategic objectives
Work closely with the Executive mgmt. teams to develop, improve and leverage broader strategies in 'out of plant' value streams
Collaborate with manufacturing operations management to ensure effective resource utilization, planning, and execution of projects that are in alignment with business objectives, and ongoing product development from R&D.
Provide thought leadership in areas of systemic waste reduction through effective process/system design, disciplined problem solving, and lean manufacturing methodologies to improve quality, productivity, and drive manufacturing excellence.
Provide program management and administration support ensuring roadmap adherence and consistent reporting of plant level Operating System advancement and maturity
Partner with R&D, supply chain, manufacturing, Quality, and finance to create continuous improvement, manufacturing & engineering KPIs to measure performance of the manufacturing plants and provide manufacturing engineering support so that they achieve KPI goals.
Track, analyze, summarize and present data online performance to manufacturing operations management to improve product specification margins, first pass yields, and other quality related measurements.
In collaboration with the product engineering and supply chain management teams, identify new factory requirements, translate them into process designs and line layout, deploy and qualify new production lines.
Partner with operations teams to identify problems, conduct root cause analysis and come up with optimal resolutions for challenging line issues.
Work with other departments to resolve problems brought by contract manufacturing partners with a “customer service” attitude.
Act preemptively to address potential points of failure on the manufacturing line, take ownership of unplanned downtime and cycle time, implement upgrades to maintain line effectiveness.
Build and deploy a training capability to train and coach manufacturing leaders and team members on operational excellence based on lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies.
Work closely with business Functional leaders to understand their current challenges and how to appropriately use corporate resources to improve system performance
Develop a team of subject matter experts that have the capability to drive excellence across the manufacturing organization in effective application of the operating model in the achievement of direct and measurable operation gains and to embed a culture of operational excellence
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
7 to 10+ Years of Experience in engineering with hands on experience in leading continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and operational excellence
Solid background in manufacturing operations including automated metal fabrication equipment (Flat Lasers, Tube Laser, Robotic Welding and Powder Painting), assembly processes and material handling
Ability to work on multiple projects and manage various priorities and timelines and to adapt quickly to changing circumstances
Exceptional problem-solving skills, and capable of identifying needs and implementing solutions without help
Ability to influence others and work within cross-functional teams to make critical decisions
Experience developing and launching lean implementations
Demonstrated leadership used to motivate multi-disciplined engineering team while instilling teamwork within the departments and demonstrating key interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of hiring and developing talented engineering teams.
EDUCATION
