Position Summary:
Manages custom applications, reports, and enhancements to support McLaren’s EMR, Rev Cycle and Business applications across all McLaren’s subsidiaries.
P
rovides expertise to guide programmers in
implementing and maintaining custom applications code used across McLaren subsidiaries. Establishes and enforces processes for resolving solution deficiencies developed by staff.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities as Assigned
:
1.
Manages the functioning and productivity of the clinical systems team including the day-to-day operations, strategic goals, projects, requests management, and staff performance- seeks opportunities to fully incorporate staff into daily operations.
2.
Takes part in all aspects of solution development including requirements gathering, feature design, implementation, and deployment.
3.
Serves as a liaison between McLaren end users to document requirements and IT partners who develop custom applications, data extracts and reports.
4.
Resolves issues with management and stakeholders.
5.
Ensures programmers adhere to McLaren and industry programming standards.
6.
Interfaces with the user community regarding application development, reporting and data design and support. Shares experience and expertise by collaborating with other members of the team.
Required:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field, pharmacy field or information technology.
OR
Associate degree in healthcare, pharmacy or information technology
Ten years of experience working in either healthcare or as an IT analyst.
OR
High school diploma
Fifteen years of experience working in either healthcare or as an IT analyst.
Cerner Experience:
Ten years information systems support experience in the following:
Clinical Cerner solutions
Revenue Cycle Cerner solutions
Technical Cerner solutions
Reporting Cerner solutions
OR
o
Ten years of build and configuration experience Healthcare/Clinical IT (including, but not limited to Paragon, Allscripts, Epic or Meditech)
o
Four years of Cerner build and configuration experience.
Ability to travel to offices in all McLaren Regions. Travel will be kept to a minimum unless additional resources are needed.Preferred:
Master’s degree in the information technology field.
Certifications in Project Management Professional (PMP) or Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS)
