This role will work to drive efficiencies and improve overall profitability of the Generics business.This position works closely with Sales, Commercial Operations, and Finance to ensure all analytical tools are relevant, user friendly and align with the functionality required for the business. Additionally, this role will be responsible for backup support of pricing, commercial operations and sales as assigned. This is a part-time role.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Optimize market pricing intelligence, competitive intelligence, and develop tools to help align strategy.Utilize the pricing analysis models and understand the various key terms and elements of the model to prepare contracts, amendments, and price notifications. Understands Model N and associated financial systems to maintain accurate pricing and terms.Responsible for the review and improvement of pricing models and methodologies and benchmarking with industry best practices.Ensures appropriate documentation, maintenance, and training processes and tools. Champions new processes and procedures as needed. Ensures processes and tools conform to MNK compliance and technology requirements.Works closely with the pricing and commercial teams to evaluate tool support issues and plan for future resources.Support and function as the backup to pricing strategy and tactics to support sales and margin targets.Manage and maintain the contracts and terms metadata in Salesforce.Additional duties as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education:BA/BS degree required.Experience:Five or more years of commercial or relevant industry experience required.Strong understanding of US pharmaceutical value chain and industry dynamics highly desired.Strong understanding of business-to-business and manufacturer-distributor value chain and industry dynamics; specific knowledge of US generic pharmaceutical market dynamics required.Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and executing pricing and contracting strategies.Skills/Competencies:Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) skills.Must be accurate, detailed and organized.Strong analytical, data analysis and problem-solving skills, experience developing pricing models preferred.Prior experience with cloud-based CRM applications preferred (Model N and/or Salesforce).Excellent PC skills and systems skills; Must have intermediate Excel skills (V-Lookup, Pivots) and Word/Adobe.Strong insights into pharmaceutical pricing models and industry best practices.SCOPE OF POSITION / RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS:This position will report to the Vice President, Sales & Commercial Operations, and will work with key stakeholders from National Accounts, Product Management, Contract Administration, Commercial Analytics, Customer Service, Legal and Finance.Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or genetics.
