Overhaul, repair, and test high speed production equipment which includes ovens, packaging machines, mixers, cartoners, baggers, stuffers, smoke houses, etc., throughout the facility.
High School Graduate or GED with prior maintenance experience in a production environment with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding ability. Must understand, but not limited to:
Drive train- Belts, pulleys, sprockets, and chain drives.
Basic electrical- 110 single phase and 480 & 230 v 3 phase.
PLC operation
Motor control
Fabrication- welding, grinding. and assembly,
Hydraulic- motors, pumps, and valves.
Pneumatics- air valves and controls.
Follow all safety, GMP’s, and USDA guidelines
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
Properly complete required paperwork daily per Quality guidelines
Read, understand, use and update shop prints, specifications and refer to the manufacturer manual for servicing and installation of equipment and distribution systems.
Determine manpower and material requirements, means and methods to be used in accomplishing work assignments and recommend changes.
Prepare, paint surfaces and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
Use tools and test equipment of the trade.
Maintains spare parts inventory and orders parts as required.
Coordinate with Maintenance supervision when locking and tagging systems.
Perform related duties as required or assigned.
Observe safety standards and practices.
Observe and assist outside contractors for compliance with ConAgra standards.
Train new hires/transfers regarding proper maintenance and safety standards and practices.
Follow all GMP’s and USDA guidelines.
