Responsibilities:
Work with little to no supervisionClean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts ofmachineryTroubleshoot/repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, highspeed welders, conveyors, and palletizersInstall and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipmentRepair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and otherrelated equipmentBuilding maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and generalupkeepRepair and assess electrical issues as they ariseAble to familiarize yourself with our CMMS system and loglabor/parts according to established expectationsMust be willing to work overtime, including weekends and off-shiftsas requiredMust participate in on-call program and may be required to workadditional hours on off shift due to on-call programUnderstands quality, PPE requirements, safety, and the importance ofcomplying with safety policies and procedures.Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent - Technical degree inmaintenance-related field preferred2 years minimum experience as a maintenance mechanic in metalmanufacturing environment with the ability to troubleshoot preferredbut not requiredKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO9001 standards formetals manufacturingPLC experience preferredExperience with and ability to use all types of welding, cutting,machine, and hand tools preferredExperience in high speed packaging, welding, and mechanical powertransmission preferredWork Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequentlyrequired to walk. The employee is required to stand for long periods oftime, use arms and hands to feel or reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlon occasion, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and moveup to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job includeclose vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequentlyexposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may work with materialsthat could irritate eyes, skin and breathing. Appropriate personalprotective equipment is required. The employee will be working nearand/or with high-speed automated equipment. This may cause risk ofinjury if safety procedures are not followed. The work environment isoften noisy and hearing protection is required.
