About Leadership Development Professional

  The Leadership Development Professional is a part of the Wood Products business working in the Atlanta or Jacksonville Distribution site. This is a Full Time, Non-Exempt position. Position does require relocation to either Atlanta, GA or Jacksonville, FL. Relocation benefits are available for this and subsequent positions. This role will report to the Area General Manager.

  This is an entry level leadership developmental position. Working under close guidance with assigned mentors, this individual will be accountable for growing and strengthening their leadership skills and general business understanding of the sales and operations of a building products distribution center, and other major functional areas, through a detailed 12-month development plan including hands-on learning, operational rotations, and successful completion of process improvement projects.

  The successful individual will be assigned to the next role once development is successfully completed and a suitable assignment is identified that meets business needs.

  Key Functions:

  Develop safety leadership skillsStructured 12-month rotation through operational areas of the distribution centerProjects and assignments to promote active learning and contribute to distribution center’s successful performanceExposure to metrics, reliability and process improvement projectsBroad exposure to Sales, Operations, Finance and Wood Products ManufacturingDevelop Front Line Leader skills

  Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline

  Willingness to adapt to strong safety culture and ensure safe and efficient execution of workAbility to exercise good judgment in setting priorities and follow-through in a fast-paced results –oriented environmentStrong desire to learn building material sales, distribution operations, develop leadership capabilities and possess desire to progress in organizationDemonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite and other windows based programsExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving skillsExperience/knowledge project managementCapability to prioritize work activities, assignments, demands and flexibility to adapt to changesStrong analytical skillsAbility to develop partnerships and collaborative teamingCourage to challenge status quo and deliver resultsExcellent work ethic, strong time management and organizational skillsWillingness to relocate outside of the region for position opportunities and/or cross-business development, a plusCompensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $56,000 - $85,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

  Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

  Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours
