Responsibility:
This position will be one of the Station Programs Project leads, a chief liaison between C&D and construction groups and the Station Operations for all capital projects. It ensures that the scopes and designs of capital work meet the operational needs of the Station Environment. The role involves managing contracts, meeting deadlines, reviewing construction drawings, commenting on contract drawings, and checking the impacts of construction on the Station Environment, customer flow, employees, and Facilities/Station Maintenance. The individual will oversee Capital Projects within the station, from design to close-out for the Division of Stations. Responsibilities include attending inspections with the Stations Programs Capital Support Group to ensure the scope of work is completed as per the contract. The role also requires providing project updates in the Project Management APP/software and responding to construction site complaints for contracts.
Education and Experience:
Five years of full-time satisfactory experience with a major railroad or transit authority; at least one year of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.
Desired Skills :
Knowledge of NYCT policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. C&D design Standards, Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, Strong teamwork skills, and Excellent written and interpersonal skills. Excellent PC skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Apps suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive).
