  As Maintenance Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for implementation and scheduling of a comprehensive predesigned qualification program for the manufacturing plant including its equipment, facilities and utilities.

   "During initial hire period you may be assigned to an 8-hour shift until assigned your permanent 12-hour shift assignment. There is a shift differential incentive if assigned to D shift (nights). To be determined by business unit needs".

  About the Zebulon Site

  As a Maintenance Engineering Supervisor, you will supervise production shift operations to deliver high quality products, manufactured in a safe way to fulfill all requirements of the area and site strategy. Leads shift personnel in the execution of all production related activities. Drives a continuous improvement culture to ensure Zero Accidents, Zero Defects and Zero Waste.

  GSK's Zebulon site is a global supplier of Respiratory and Solid Dose medicines to patients around the globe and the largest GSK Pharmaceutical secondary manufacturing site in North America. The site is located less than 30 minutes from downtown Raleigh, Wendell, Knightdale, Rocky Mount, Wilson, and Wake Forest.

  This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

   Right First Time

  1. Lead production shift operations to deliver high quality medicinal products each and every day. Ensure that the focus is always on right first time with respect to safety and quality.

  2. Ensure medicines are manufactured in a quality compliant manner and all cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) are adhered to.

  3. Represent the value stream during regulatory audits and inspections (internal and external) as directed by line management.

  4. Ensure a quality right first-time culture through a robust Self Inspection Audit process.

   Capability Build

  5. Lead the recruitment of team members and then supports their continued development through the

  establishment of robust development and career progression plans using Workday MyPlans.

  6. Provide frequent feedback/coaching as part of our commitment to continually develop team members.

   Continuous Improvement (embrace GSK's Production System (GPS; a lean operating system) to drive continuous improvements).

  7. Support the tiered accountability process to drive performance management across the balanced scorecard of safety, quality, waste, service and supply.

  8. Embed and drive a continuous improvement culture to proactively identify and solve problems. Develop and maintain a robust idea generation process that engages (and recognizes) team members. Focus

  on the identification and implementation of value adding ideas targeting goals of Zero Accidents, Zero Incidents and Zero Waste.

  9. Ensure robust communication within the department, including daily shift handover process, using visual metrics.

  10. Partner with key support teams; technical, quality, scheduling and engineering/maintenance to deliver the weekly schedule at the right time and at the right cost

  Basic Qualifications:

  We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:Associate in mechanical or chemical engineering or 10 years' experienceExperience working in a highly regulated Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment.Experience leading facility equipment programs and leading maintenance teamsLeadership experience in coaching and collaborative workingPreferred Qualifications:

  If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:High School Diploma/GED5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industryFamiliarity with manufacturing regulatory requirementsAbility to influence at all levels.Communication (written/verbal), conflict resolution, teamwork and leadership skills.Associate in mechanical or chemical engineering or 10 years' experience Why GSK?
