　　Position Overview

　　Embark on an enriching journey with Autodesk as a Software Architect, stepping into an important position important to the transformation and modernization of our mission-critical licensing platform. We are at the forefront of the company's licensing needs and have tremendous visibility and impact across all of Autodesk. The platform stack is complex and is integrated with the desktop as well as cloud products. In this role, you will influence the trajectory of our software systems. You will focus on improving the resiliency and scalability of the platform. You will ensure alignment with the latest industry best practices. In this capacity, you'll mentor a geographically dispersed development team, elevating the standards of engineering excellence across the board. Join us in shaping the future of software architecture at Autodesk. As part of this role, you will be reporting to the Director of Engineering.

　　This job will be fully remote with occasional onsite workshops/meetings. This job also might need occasional travel to APAC.

　　Responsibilities

　　Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain an understanding of the current system's architecture and functionalityDevelop a strategic direction for the licensing platform and ensure that the tactical direction is to support the larger strategyDrive broad consensus and agreement across teams and GEOsLead the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable software solutionsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to a geographically distributed development team, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharingEnsure the security, performance, and reliability of the platformStay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into the platform's architecture by conducting code and architecture reviewsRaise the bar within the team and across the organizationPartner with Product Management and Business leads regarding future platform and technology issues and the effect of decisions on all projectsCreate formal networks with industry and cross organizational leadership communities to develop standards, and foster platform growthWork on issues where analysis of situations or data requires and evaluation of intangibles

　　Minimum Qualifications

　　10+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale distributed systemsHave designed and implemented complex software systemsBroad knowledge of AWS, server programming, databases, and cloud architecturesExperience working with container frameworks (Docker) and container orchestration tools (AWS ECS, Kubernetes)Experience with Microservices, API architecture and managementWork experience in a global and distributed environmentExperience working in u is requiredTechnology stack: Java/Spring, AWS/Containers, Go, R, and Python

　　Salary transparency

　　Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $160,000 and $258,720. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
