LEAD, SPACEPORT EXPERIENCE
The role of Lead, Spaceport Experience will be to drive recruiting and retention at SpaceX by creating, planning, marketing and take part in the event execution for employees and their family. Events are designed to encourage a fun, inclusive environment, that build relationships with the community/government agencies. You will develop the budget for events and groups and work within these parameters. The marketing for events, amenities and food & beverage needs to be in SpaceX brand voice and delivered consistently. This role is also responsible for making sure that all marketing and communications on our internal website is updated and drives engagement. This role will support the mission by providing a foundation of understanding for inclusive events that boost morale and productivity within SpaceX.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the creation, implementation, and schedule of our event calendar, while leading all activations that benefit the employees at SpaceXWork any and all operational tasks required to execute events from planning to set-up, clean-up and data collection/reviewMake strategic announcements to inform employees of important information, create excitement for events and drive traffic to revenue opportunities around siteManage weekly marketing meetings to discuss the upcoming events with other key players to ensure the proper execution of all eventsCollaborate with inter-departmental groups to create, communicate, and manage a robust calendar of engaging events and initiatives within the company's mission and core valuesTake lead on the formulation and implementation of the sites marketing plan and the development of goals and objectivesCreate, refine, and publish weekly internal newsletterPlan and coordinate accommodations, venues, staffing, catering, transportation, and equipment for sound or video for events as needed including VIPs/customers/employeesAdvocate for diversity and inclusion groups by planning, organizing and leading their eventsLead all aspects of meeting planning for event logistics, event registration and reporting, attendee communication and support, and vendor managementReview employee feedback to create a work environment that engages and inspires workers to deliver their best performanceManage the experience budget and negotiate pricing with various vendorsAssist with badging, ITAR and NDA requirements, and safety trainingManage data collection and analysis to measure social impact, retention & engagement growth and effectiveness of programs BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of professional experience in event planning and hospitality; or high school diploma and 5+ years of professional experience in event planning and hospitality PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience in creating and driving impactful eventsProficient in project management, with the ability to deliver multiple concurrent projects from inception through execution while meeting deadlinesDetail-oriented and focused on continuous process improvement. An adaptable, creative collaborator who problem-solves with a can-do attitudeStrong written/verbal/interpersonal communication skillsReliable, consistent, and provides high-quality work outputKnowledge of graphic design softwareComfortable working in a high-stress environment balancing several projects at any given time, and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic directionsWilling and able to work weekends and non-standard work-week hours COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Lead, Spaceport Experience: $90,000 - $115,000/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
