What's the role?

　　As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for

　　Analyze product requirements and design to develop efficient, re-usable, reliable and scalable software with quality conformance in an innovative and iteratively growing environmentImplement tools to enhance both automated and semi-automated map data processing, involving backend/service-based software stacks, but also dashboard components for data tracking and analysisAbility to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentCollaborate with Lead and Principal engineers on architecture, design, code and configuration reviews.

　　Provide technical expertise for teams focused on specific software modules.Work with other engineering teams and internal customers to identify new opportunities, address critical needs and solve complex problems using your backend development expertiseBuild out systems to monitor deployed workflows and alert/handle failuresMentor junior engineers to develop quality code and review the design/codeRespond to internal customers escalation requests 

　　Who are you?

　　You are a fast learner, with an eye for detail, strong problem-solving and debugging skills

　　• 8+ years backend application development experience – Java 1.8+/Scala

　　• Hand-on experience in REST, GIT

　　• Design patterns knowledge is a must

　　• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms is must

　　• Infrastructure experience: Maven/SBT, GIT/GERRIT, Jenkins, CI/CD processes, Linux Environment

　　• Experience with Apache Kafka/Spark/Flink, Amazon Web Services and AWS EMR is considered a plus

　　• Solid knowledge of programming practices, strive to write great code that is reusable, flexible,and reliable.

　　• Self-motivated, well-organized, details-oriented and a strong team player with an agile mindset

　　• Strong quality mindset is considered a must: unit testing and test-driven development

　　• Very good communication skills in English both written and spoken.
