  Lab / Warehouse Systems Manager

  This Is What You’ll Do:

  Support the Director of Business Applications in the administration, operational use and support for critical Laboratory and Warehouse business applications (e.g., LIMS, WMS, EMS, etc.) and initiatives that support plasma operations within the Business Applications portfolio.

  Work cohesively with Business Applications Systems Manager and team to ensure planning of releases within the Business Applications portfolio are coordinated and structured efficiently.

  Work cohesively with the Business Applications Support Manager and team to ensure incidents and issues are investigated and resolved according to service level agreements.

  Work cohesively with the Business Analysts Manager and team to ensure application requirements and specifications are documented and impacts to reports are assessed.

  Accountable for the direct management responsibilities of a team of System Analysts.

  Develop and mentor team in program and project management best practices.

  Develop and mentor team in functionality and configuration of Business Applications.

  Drive the completion of business application projects through the full product lifecycle including application selection/procurement, implementation, maintenance, and decommissioning of business applications

  Lead cross-functional project teams coordinating all levels and departments within the organization including Operations, Training, IT, Quality, Customer Support, and external vendors.

  Lead and assist in the development of the project plan, including identifying risks, tasks, resources, deliverables, and timeline.

  Responsible for the coordination and completion of tasks across project teams to ensure high-quality implementations.

  Develop and distribute release notes and other business applications documentation to system users.

  Document key decisions and track outstanding issues.

  Provide lessons learned and process improvements.

  Responsible for the release planning process and change management activities for multiple business applications (e.g., LIMS, WMS, EMS, etc.) utilizing portfolio / program management and project management best practices.

  Track and evaluate business application enhancements, vendor releases, and upgrades as inputs to future projects.

  Develop overall business applications project scopes to ensure applications are maintained in concert with operational strategy and competing priorities.

  Lead and assist in the planning and execution of user conferences to identify organizational efficiencies and process improvements applicable to business applications.

  Provide all required documents to and work in conjunction with Quality department to ensure systems are validated and maintained under change control consistent with Company policies, FDAs, cGMP, and any other regulatory agency requirements.

  Maintain the established Quality System under the quality guidelines and help ensure that all operations involved in the projects comply with the Company’s Quality Program.

  This Is What It Takes:

  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Life Science, Management or related field required.

  Minimum five (5) years of experience in project leadership and / or process improvement.

  Minimum three (3) years of management/supervisory experience.

  Minimum two (2) years of experience in an FDA-regulated environment.

  PMP or another project management credential preferred.

  Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

  Demonstrated understanding of IT system lifecycles and change management.

  Must be fluent with software validation as it relates to Blood Establishment Computer Systems (BECS) and 21 CFR Part 11.

  Proven track record for leading multiple, complex, and large projects inside a fast-paced company.

  Ability to build relationships with business stakeholders effectively at every level, from frontline staff to corporate executives and external vendors.

  Strategic mindset with strong organizational, analytical, quality detail orientation, negotiation, decision-making, time management and process improvement skills.

  Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with demonstrated interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with all levels of management.

  Proficient in all MS Office applications; demonstrated advanced functionality of Excel; Microsoft Project experience preferred.

  Ability to work autonomously with very limited supervision.

  Approximately 30% travel is required.
