  Who Am I?I am a technology professional passionate about delivering systems that provide solutions for systems that drive manufacturing.

  My team develops and supports programs that are used on a daily basis to create recipes, schedule machines, collect data on a process, and validate quality for various manufacturing processes.We are currently working to modernize our older Manufacturing Systems with current Microsoft technologies while adding additional and valuable functionality to the existing systems

  What Do We Do?Business Unit: Information Technology - Infrastructure & AdministrationMy team supports over 20 custom manufacturing systems developed internally or with vendor support to provide quality production.

  We also develop new systems for new machines and new processes

  My team works with the manufacturing department and engineering to implement systems with a high level of automation.

  My team is currently working to upgrade 10 systems over the next 3 years.

  Ongoing ProjectsWe are working on projects of 6-2 years in duration to upgrade systems that run 1 to 70 machines.We work in an agile basis and utilize best practices for application development.We Utilize DevOps in the management of the code and delivery, we develop test plans and test execution scripts.We work closely with users and SMEs to assure issues are identified and resolved prior to code deployment.

  Your Role as an InternYou will be a part of a dynamic team, supporting the following tasks:Manufacturing Execution System Program Development (develop programs/code for systems used in manufacturing to provide a function required).net, Blazor, Web programming with SQLServer data stores

Organize and present results to small and large audiences throughout the organization.Collaboration - You will work closely with multiple departments and teams on the manufacturing floor, requiring strong partnership skills.

  What Do We Require?You must be:Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program majoring in Computer Science, Engineering or Management Information Systems or related fieldsMinimum 3.0 GPAWilling and able to work on-site at our Reading, PA location.Individuals with experience deriving solutions from problem statements and creating requirements from user input are preferredUS Citizen or US Green Card Holder.

  Pay RangeHourly rates are based on: 1 - Program of study; 2 - Degree type (i.e., Bachelor's); 3 - Progression in degree (i.e., 1st year, 2nd year, etc.). The range for this position is $18.50-$23.50 per hour.

  Commuting/Housing Assistance (If Eligible)Interns who must commute to work from outside the immediate Reading, PA area (over 50 miles one-way), will be paid a one-time lump sum payment of $2,400 (less applicable taxes) as excessive commute allowance. Interns who choose to temporarily relocate from outside the immediate Reading, PA area (moving over 50 miles one-way), will be paid a one-time lump sum payment of $4,800 (less applicable taxes) as a housing allowance. If applicable, this payment would be made during the first payroll cycle, which would be three or four weeks following the internship start date.
