About Invoicing Specialist - Rail Finance

We have deep experience in providing attractive railcar leasing and equipment financing solutions to rail shippers and carriers.

  The Invoicing Specialist/Commercial Accountant role is responsible for creating and generating invoices and booking contracts for existing CIT Rail customers. You will also provide extensive customer support and support to the sales team and other areas of the business.

  Responsibilities

  The Invoicing Specialist/Commercial Accountant role is responsible for creating and generating invoices and booking contracts for existing CIT Rail customers. You will be an integral member of a highly collaborative team in a fast-paced environment where you will have the autonomy to make the role your own. This is a hybrid role and will be expected to be in the office 3 days a week.

  Job responsibilities include:

  • Generate daily booking report

  • Audit monthly control reports to ensure invoice accuracy

  • Analyze and process monthly rent invoices

  • Book new contracts into InfoLease

  • Reconcile asset locations in InfoLease for new and re-marketed contracts

  • Work with corporate accounting to ensure accuracy of all InfoLease contracts

  • Add newly funded cars to InfoLease

  • Prepare credits and supporting documentation

  • Prepare non-rent invoicing

  • Reconcile accounts as needed

  • Provide extensive customer support

  • Provide support to the sales team and other areas of the business

  • Assist Invoicing Manager with various projects including month end responsibilities

  Qualifications

  Basic Qualifications:

  Bachelor's Degree and 1 year accounting experience

  Preferred/Other Qualifications:

  Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelExperience handling a high volume of invoicesExtremely organized and have strong attention to detailStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with teamsStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Self-starter willing to take full responsibility and ownership of job
