Summary
The Interior Sprayer spray paints linings to specifications on theinterior of railcars, and repairs poor interior lining paint work.
Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to performthe following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may beassigned to address business needs and changing business practices.
Suits up in protective paint suit and air-supplied respirator to preparefor spray painting
Gathers appropriate interior painting equipment for lining railcars,including scaffolding
Enters and exits the railcar in accordance with confined spaceprocedures
Spray paints linings on the interior of railcars using interior spraypainting equipment in a paint bay
Prepares and relines poor interior paintwork
Reads gauges to ensure that paint is spraying at exact specifications
Trouble shoots, maintains, and cleans paint equipment
Ensures that safety and housekeeping standards are met and maintained

This job is in a production facility where the physical environmentrequires the employee to work in heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid, dustyconditions, noise, moving machinery and trip hazards.
Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment asenvironmental conditions dictate, including but not limited to thefollowing:

Composite Toe Safety Shoes
Harness/lanyard
Exposure to hazardous chemicals requires the use of a paint suit,gloves, and wearing a respirator
Employee may be required to perform work at heights up to 20 feet orwithin confined spaces. Some work areas may require the use of arespirator while working. Employees working in these areas must be ableto pass a respirator fit test and be clean-shaven while wearing arespirator.
