　　Job Description

　　Directs the activities associated with sterilization, decontamination, and distribution of terminally sterilized instrumentation. The supervisor ensures manufactures recommendations and regulatory guidelines are followed with regards to decontamination, sterilization and distribution of terminally sterilized instrumentation. Assists with the training and, assuring the competency of staff assigned to work in decontamination, sterilization, and distribution. Also, assures that surgical case carts are prepared completely and accurately. They will collaborate with other departments for instrumentation needs.

　　Minimum Requirements:

　　High school diploma or the equivalent.

　　National Central Service Technician Certification or successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred or 7-10 years instrument processing tech experience with leadership growth

　　Ability to operate a computer and calculator, knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel a plus.

　　Good verbal communication skills.

　　Ability to supervise and direct the work of others.
