Position DescriptionTacoma Community College seeks a student-centered tenure-track professor to join our Information Systems faculty team. This position will include responsibility for the development, preparation, and delivery of courses at the associate and bachelor's degree level in the fields of networking, cybersecurity, and database technology. Teaching assignments may include daytime, evening, or weekend (Saturday) classes using various modalities including face-to-face, hybrid, or fully online (synchronous or asynchronous). This position is located at the TCC main campus. This team member will collaborate with students, faculty, and staff to build strong links within the college's Information Systems Pathway. This position works closely with the Information Systems program chairs and reports directly to the Associate Provost for Workforce and Dean for Healthcare through the Associate Dean for Business, Paralegal, and Technology Pathways. * This full-time tenure-track faculty position begins September 1, 2024. *
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare curriculum and teach courses in the fields of networking, cybersecurity, and database technology in various modalities.Develop, implement, and evaluate curricula at the rigor appropriate for the degree program.Motivate students by providing a positive and supportive environment for growth.
